Anne D. McDade
Anne D. McDade, 91, of Harmony, formerly of New Kensington, passed away Thursday at the LifeCare Transitional Care Center in Pittsburgh.
Born June 5, 1923, in New Kensington, she was the daughter of the late William and Josephine Snyder.
Anne was a former member of the St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in New Kensington and a past president of the PTA for the New Kensington School District.
She worked as an admitting clerk and cashier at Citizen's General Hospital until her retirement. She was also a former Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Thomas W. (Kay) McDade Jr. of Bellingham, W.Va., and Cathleen Gilg of Harmony; her three grandchildren, Thomas “Tee” (Rebecca) McDade, Kirsten (Brendan) Brokes and Colton (Brittanie) Gilg; her five great-grandchildren, Kai, Nate, Fritz, Colton Jr. and Imogen; her sister, Rose Mary Snyder of Lower Burrell; and her beloved dog, Prince.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas W. McDade, who passed away on Dec. 19, 1991; her two brothers, Edward and William Snyder; and her son-in-law, Harry Gilg Jr.
MCDADE — The family of Anne D. McDade, who died on Thursday, April 30, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A blessing service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.Anne will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Greenwood Memorial Park.A memorial donation in Anne's honor may be made to the Animal Rescue League of the donor's choice.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
