Donald G. DeVore

Donald G. DeVore, 63, of South Buffalo Township passed away Wednesday while in the company of family members at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Don was born in Butler on Sept. 11, 1951. He was the son of the late Maude A. (Brown) and George A. DeVore.

He was a longtime member of the Union Baptist Church in North Buffalo Township.

Don had worked as a welder and fabricator at the Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co. in Blawnox, Pa., for the past 28 years and just retired earlier this year.

Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his property with his tractor and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy (Livengood) DeVore; their two sons, Van P. (Dawn) Vasbinder, of Clover, S.C., and Donald J. (Lisa) DeVore of South Buffalo Township; and five grandchildren, Thomas P., Van Alan, Krystal D. and Stephanie M. Vasbinder and Sara J. DeVore. He also is survived by his sister, Mary DeVore of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, George “Skip” and Charles DeVore and his two sisters, Nancy Mae Ruby and Brenda Hunter.

DEVORE — Family and friends of Donald G. DeVore, who died Wednesday, April, 29, 2015, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.

The funeral service will be in the Union Baptist Church in North Buffalo Township at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Jonathan Hill officiating. Burial will be in McVille Union Cemetery in South Buffalo Township.
