O'Neill concedes GOP commissioner election to Geyer
Bob O'Neill has conceded to Kim Geyer, allowing Geyer to appear on the fall general election ballot as a Republican candidate for Butler County Commissioner.
O'Neill called Geyer on Monday afternoon to concede.
“We had a great conversation,” Geyer, 52, of Adams Township said.
The final tally of votes for the two candidates is 4,288 votes for Geyer and 4,285 votes for O'Neill.
Geyer initially beat O'Neill by two votes. Counting of provisional ballots took her lead down to one vote. Additional write-in votes gave Geyer an additional two votes.
O'Neill had until this afternoon to file an appeal regarding provisional ballots.
