Ruth A. Sekara
Ruth A. (Wise) Sekara, 80, of Butler, formerly Clinton Township, passed away unexpectedly Monday.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard, who died in 2006.
She was the loving mother of Karen (Mark) Crumpton of Las Vegas, Nev., Kathi Sekara of Phoenix, Ariz. and Paul (Amy) Sekara of Evans City; the sister of Willis (Dona) Wise of Gibsonia and the late Marion Robb; the dear grandmother of Adam Will of California, Hunter Sekara of West Virginia and the late Gabrielle Sekara. She also leaves treasured nieces and nephews.
Upon graduating from Clinton-Winfield High School, Ruth began working at the GC Murphy Co. in Tarentum, then Murphy's Mart in Harmarville, Pa., and ultimately at the Ames Department Store in Gibsonia until retirement.
She loved baking, where she began her own cookie business, created wonderful works of art and crafts, which were sold on consignment. She spent countless hours in her gardens at her home in Clinton Township. Ruth was also a longtime and devoted member of the Glade Run United Presbyterian Church in Middlesex Township.
SEKARA — The family of Ruth A. (Wise) Sekara, who died Monday, April 27, 2015, will welcome friends from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, PA 15007.Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home following visitation.
