Tina M. Baptiste

Tina M. Baptiste, 58, of Butler passed away at 5:07 p.m. Thursday at the emergency room of Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 27, 1956, in Okinawa, Japan, to Joyce (Harbison) Bush Varhola and the late John Bush.

Tina was a homemaker and a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.

She cherished spending time with her whole family especially her grandchildren. Tina enjoyed sitting outside on her new porch and porch swing. She also enjoyed all the holidays.

Tina is survived by her husband Russell F. Baptiste, Sr.; one daughter, Colleen Baptiste of Butler; one son, Russell F. Baptiste, Jr. of Butler; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Joyce Varhola of Butler; two stepdaughters, Elizabeth Fresh and Joanna Hiller, both of Butler; one brother, Frank Bush and his wife Jeanne, of Prospect; two sisters, Renee Bush of Ohio, and Michael Matto and her husband, Gary, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister.

BAPTISTE — There will be no public visitation for Tina M. Baptiste, who died Thursday, April 23, 2015, according to her wishes.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler, with the Rev. Matt McClain officiating. Burial will take place in St. Wendelin Cemetery.Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
