Tyler Ray Thompson

Tyler Ray Thompson, 25, of Petrolia passed away at 4:15 a.m. Friday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Tyler was born March 8, 1990, in Martinsburg, W.Va. He was the son of Scott K. Thompson and Bobbi Jo Meals.

Tyler was employed by Iron Mountain in the maintenance department.

Tyler was a wonderful father who cherished every moment with his daughter, Brooklyn. He was a car enthusiast who owned 65 vehicles since turning 16. Tyler also enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing.

Tyler is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Rae Thompson of Petrolia; his father, Scott (Patty) Thompson of Petrolia; his mother, Bobbi Jo (Dan) Richards of Dubois; his sister, Samantha (Chris) Betta of Greensburg; his two stepbrothers, Luke and Nathan Blanchard, both of Petrolia; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Edna Meals of Grove City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

THOMPSON — The family of Tyler Ray Thompson, who died Friday, April 17, 2015, will receive friends at the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.It is requested that everyone meet at the First Baptist Church of Butler, 221 New Castle St., for the funeral service, which will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday officiated by the Rev.
