Evelyn L. (Brooks) Breon, 96, a resident of the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, formerly of Centre Hall, Pa., passed away Friday.

Born April 21, 1918, in State College, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Katherine (Meyer) Brooks.

Evelyn was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople and a former member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Centre Hall. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Gregg Township School in Spring Mills, Pa.

Evelyn was the branch manager for the Mid State Bank in Pleasant Gap, Pa., and was also the assistant director for the Centre County Treasurer's office.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Susan L. (Breon) Serena and husband, Kenneth J. Serena, of Bradfordwoods, Pa.; her three grandchildren, Stephanie (Nale) Lichauer of Pittsburgh, Robert A. Nale of Milroy, Pa., and Natalie (Nale) Spiroff of Enola, Pa.; eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert P. Breon, and her daughter, Nancy E. Breon.
