Jesse Saviski struck out seven and tossed a three-hitter Saturday as Meridian defeated Valley, 8-3, in Butler County Legion baseball play.

Jacob Stutz led Meridian offensive with four singles and three runs scored. Nick Malis had a double and two RBI, Ryan Bargo a double and RBI. Evan Knauer had a single and two RBI.

Noah Aftanas had two singles for Valley.

Center Township 16, Butler City 6 — Shane Minick struck out five in a route-going effort on the mound for Center Township. David Dimun tripled and had three RBI, Tyler Kline tripled and scored three runs.

Brendan Beer had a double and two RBI while Devin Fitz had two singles for CT.

Zack Seager had a single and two RBI for Butler City while Matt Metzger, Connor Thomas and Sheldon Hile all doubled and scored.
