William E. "Bill" Richey

William E. “Bill” Richey, 70, of East Brady, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at his home.

Born Aug. 7, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Bill married the former Marlene F. McGee in 1963, who survives.

Bill worked in maintenance for Equitable Life, now Westinghouse, for a number of years and then was proprietor of R&R Carpet Cleaning in the Butler County area for 20 years.

Bill was a former member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church and most recently attended St. Eusebius Church in East Brady.

Bill enjoyed camping, going to car shows and being around people. He always found a way to make others smile.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Richey of East Brady; two daughters, Deanna (Thomas) Wilbert of Petrolia and Lisa (Mike) Thornton of Bruin; one son, William Richey (Mary) of South Carolina; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Bill is also survived by his twin sisters, Rose (Keith) McMonigal of Shaler and Reine Kelly of West Deer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, William C. Richey Jr.; one granddaughter, Danielle Modrak; and one brother-in-law, James Kelly.

RICHEY — Friends of William E. “Bill” Richey, who died Wednesday, April 15, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Craig Peterson of the East Brady Methodist Church officiating.The Richey family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bill's name to the East Brady Ambulance Service, P.O.
