MIU IV hosts arts day camp

GROVE CITY — Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV (MIU IV) will partner with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and voice teacher Diana Walters to host a Movement and Music Performing Arts Camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 3 to 7 at the intermediate unit, 453 Maple St.

The camp is for students entering grades five through nine who are interested in dance, theater and music.

A registration fee includes a T-shirt, drinks, snacks, certificate and memory book. A discounted fee will be available until June 1. For registration materials, visit www.miu4.org/camps.

County center closes early

The Butler County Government Center will close at noon June 5.

No marriage applications will be accepted after 11:30 a.m. at the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court office.

Emergency filings for other business will be received and clocked only in the public meeting room.

Saeler-Solkow Ride sets date

The eighth annual Saeler-Solkow Memorial Ride will begin with registration at 9 a.m. Aug. 15 at the East Butler Firemen’s club, 808 Grant Ave.

The motorcycle ride starts at 11 a.m. The after party will be at the Beer Garden, 2899 Oneida Valley Road, Petrolia.

Proceeds will benefit Lucretia Angert of Butler who has breast cancer.

Walk to support homeless vets

VA Butler Healthcare will host a VA2K Walk and Roll from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday to encourage healthy activity while supporting homeless veterans with donated items.

The VA2K Walk and Roll is free and open to the public. VA Butler Healthcare’s VA2K will start at the VA Butler Healthcare Auditorium entrance.
