Church rummage sale scheduled

HERMAN — St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the former school, 821 Herman Road.

The sale will include housewares, books, toys, exercise equipment and more. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Township dwellers take out trash

FAIRVIEW TWP — Fairview Township will host a spring clean-up day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the township park, 1571 Hooker Road.

Large dumpsters will be available. Hazardous materials, tires, electronics, computers, televisions and appliances will not be accepted.

Super Sprouts hosts tours

Butler Township Super Sprouts Preschool at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, is having an open house for new students through the end of May.

Tours are given from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening tours are also available.

Registration for the 2015-2016 school year is under way for preschool through eighth grade at St. Wendelin School, 211 Saint Wendelin Road.

The school will host an open house May 22. Tours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. A picnic with current students will be from 11 a.m. to noon.

Center accepting items for fall sale

Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora, will have a sale Oct. 15, 16 and 17.

The center is accepting the following items for the sale: books, records, CDs, movies on DVDs, games, toys and holiday items. The organizers will not accept encyclopedias.

BHS Class of ’53 sets mini reunion

LYNDORA — The Butler High School Class of 1953 will have a mini reunion June 13 at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.

Registration will start at 5 p.m., and a buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The reservation deadline is June 1.
