Wilda Yvonne Dumbaugh

Wilda Yvonne Dumbaugh, 90, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, passed away Tuesday at ConcordiaCare in Cabot.

She was born in 1924 in Butler, the daughter of the late Harry C. Ferne and Eleanor (Nolan) Ferne.

Wilda was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had been a nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital for 20 years and also did private practice. She graduated from Butler Hospital Nursing School and took classes at University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University and Butler County Community College. She was also a member of Associated Artists, the ACACIA Club, Tanglewood and the BMH Nurse's Alumni Association.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheila (Rodney) Abraham of Butler; her son, Richard (Ann) Dumbaugh of Butler; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Mark) Precise, Melissa LeViere and Chaz (Jennifer) Dumbaugh; and nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, Lucas, Nathan, Henry, Molly, Marek, Jaidyn and Kiley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Dumbaugh Sr., who died Dec. 18, 2010; and her brother, Don Ferne.

DUMBAUGH — Friends of Wilda Yvonne Dumbaugh, who died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.Services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Roger Nuerge of Concordia Lutheran Ministries officiating.
