Delores Scroggins
Delores Scroggins
In loving memory of Delores Scroggins
As autumn’s leaves began to fall,
Your gave us all the news;
The doctors told you, you must fight
A battle you might lose.
The winter gave us time with you,
How valiantly you fought;
We prayed that God would give to you
The healing that you sought.
When winter’s cold began to thaw,
And warmer days drew near
Our hope for spring turned bittersweet
For you would not be here.
This Mother’s Day won’t be the same
But the flowers that you loved
Cannot compare to where you are
In God’s own garden above.
