Betty M. McDivitt

Betty M. (Knepshield) McDivitt, 88, of Prospect passed away Saturday in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born March 13, 1927, in Slickville, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Bertha (Fought) Knepshield.

Betty was a homemaker, and was a very active and involved member of the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Edwin L. Belles Jr. (Judith) of Zelienople; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Twila Clever of Vandergrift.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McDivitt; one son, Larry Belles; her brothers, Dwight, Dean, Covert and Charles Knepshield; and two sisters, Doris Waugaman and Donna Shirley.

MCDIVITT — Friends of Betty M. (Knepshield) McDivitt, who died Saturday, April 4, 2015, will be welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev.
