The Old Stone House will again be the site of “Foodways Programs,” a series of summer-fall cooking classes. Classes are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with participants receiving hands-on training. Bake oven classes are available May 16, June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19. Open hearth cooking classes will be May 23, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and Oct. 10. The Old Stone House, at the intersection of Routes 8, 528, and 173, is owned and operated by Slippery Rock University.

Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, hosts tours from 1 to 4 p.m. daily except when the museum is closed Mondays. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, and $3 for youths ages 6 to 17. Call 724-452-7341.

Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village, 401 Meadowcroft Road in Avella, Washington County, through May is open noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. This season, Meadowcroft celebrates the 60th anniversary of Avella farmer Albert Miller’s discovery of the Rockshelter, which is billed as the oldest site of human habitation in North America. PITTSBURGH

Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., has opened the “We Can Do It!” exhibit bringing the 1940s to life. Continuing is the largest public display of original items from the “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” television show. Center admission is $15 for adults, $13 for senior citizens, and $6 for students.
