William N. Detisch, 84, of Somerset passed away on Monday at his home.

Born Dec. 5, 1930, in Venango County, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (McCamey) Detisch. He also is preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret, Anna Mae, Dolores, Helen and Naomi.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Christeen (Lanning) Detisch; his daughter, Jan Smith and her husband, Steven, of Leesburg, Va.; and his grandchildren, Amy Voorhis and her husband, Cris, of Ashburn, Va., and Maggie Smith of Morgantown, W.Va.

Bill was a 1949 graduate of Harrisville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and then began a long career as an employee of Cooper Industries in Grove City.

He enjoyed golfing with his friends and woodworking, and also was an avid reader.
