Walter Bergbigler
Walter “Teek” Joseph Bergbigler, 89, of Butler and the Saxony Heath Center passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born March 29, 1925, in Summit Township, the son of the late Frank and Caroline (Youkim) Bergbigler.
Teek worked for the B&O Railroad and for John Knoll Construction and oil wells for many years. He raised chickens and rabbit, had egg customers and when his chickens didn't lay enough eggs, he went to the egg auction in East Butler and bought his eggs. He never raised what he charged his customers.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Lottie Bergbigler of Butler; his niece, Sherry Bergbigler of Butler; his nephews, Richard Bergbigler of Eaton, Ohio, John Bergbigler and Thomas Bergbigler, both of Butler; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry R. Bergbigler, John H. Bergbigler and Richard Bergbigler, who was killed in World War II in France; his half-sister, Anne Doughtett, and his half-brother, Roy Goodman.
BERGBIGLER — Friends of Walter “Teek” Joseph Bergbigler, who died Friday, March 27, 2015, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler today from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m.Interment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.
