Joseph H. Schriver Jr.
Joseph H. Schriver Jr., 65, of Mars passed away Friday morning in the comfort of his home with his family at his side.
Born on Oct. 21, 1949, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Marjorie Cummins Schriver.
Joe had been the chief maintenance engineer for the Residence Inn in Cranberry Township.
He was a member of the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church.
He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505 and the Mars American Legion and was a Mason at Corinthian Lodge 0573 F & AM in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Hock Schriver, who he married on Sept. 3, 1971; his son, Joseph Schriver and his wife, Lisa, of Mars; his two daughters, Amy J. Faber and her husband, Mike, of Tarentum and Marjorie Stobert and her husband, Leroy, of Natrona Heights; his grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Donny, Kylee, Brooke, Nicholas, Bethany, Tyler, and Travis; his two brothers, Arthur “Shorty” Schriver and his wife, Amy, and Ralph Schriver and his wife, B.J., both of Tarentum; his two sisters, Linda Atkinson and her husband, Harold, of Gibsonia and Becky Uminski and her husband, Andy, of Pittsburgh, and his nieces and nephews.
