Ralph Davidson

Ralph Davidson, 84, of Butler passed away at 2:20 a.m. Thursday at his home.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1930, in Harmony to the late Harold Davidson and Zelia Miller Davidson.

Mr. Davidson was a self-employed building contractor. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler.

He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. Mr. Davidson was a member of the Butler Keystone Squares.

Mr. Davidson is survived by his wife, Christine Olson Davidson; his four daughters, Gay Davidson Bauer and her husband, Michael, of Butler, Polly Davidson Gregory and her husband, Leonard, of Connoquenessing, Cathleen Bennett Vetica of Pittsburgh and Jane Bennett Jackson and her husband, William, of Hampton, N.H.; his two sons, David Bennett and his wife, Diana, of Renfrew and James Bennett of Butler; his nine grandchildren; his great-grandchild; his five sisters, Jane Davidson Kosinski, Gloria Davidson, Bonny Sue Davidson Everly, Nancy Davidson Bodema and Helen Davidson Harter; and his many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Davidson — According to his wishes, there will be no public visitation for Ralph Davidson, who passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Pastor Timothy Goodman of the First United Methodist Church officiating.Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
