Richard 'Richie' Scott

Richard “Richie” Scott, 83, of Butler passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Homewood to the late Joseph and Edna Hahn Scott. Richard came from a large family; he was one of 19 children.

He married the love of his life, Leone Gore, on Sept. 9, 1950, at the Homewood Methodist Church and started a family of his own.

Richard and his wife were saved at the Calvary Baptist Church before moving to the Butler area. He enjoyed traveling around the country and spending time with his loving grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Leone Gore Scott of Butler; his son, Ron (Pepi) Scott of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Debra (Anthony DiSalvo) Scott of Butler; his grandchildren, Ron Scott Jr. of Austin, Texas, and Paul (Amanda) Scott of San Antonio; his great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Jonas and Marlee Scott, all of San Antonio, and his siblings, Nelson Scott, Russell (LouAnn) Scott and Raymond (MaryAnn) Scott, all of Pittsburgh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 15 siblings.

Scott— The family of Richard “Richie” Scott, who died Friday, March 13, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at theKing Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park. A funeral will be Tuesday at the Whitestown Baptist Church in Butler at a time to be announced later. Richard will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.Memorial donations may be sent to Whitestown Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road, Butler, PA 16001.
