Danny Johnston
Danny Johnston, 68, of North Washington passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born on Feb. 16, 1947, in West Sunbury, he was the son of the late Ronald and Hazel Brown Johnston.
He was a Protestant.
He was a graduate of Moniteau High School, Class of 1967, and served for a number of years in the U.S. Army.
Danny worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission as a maintenance worker before retiring in 2009.
He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He was a member of the Boyer's Sportsman Club as well as the Butler County Horseshoe League.
Danny was a proud member of the American Legion Post 0747 of Zelienople.
Danny is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnston of Portersville; his son, Christopher Johnston of Washington, Pa.; his two sisters, Linda (Don) Kelly of Bruin and Rhonda Norocress of Slippery Rock; his two brothers, Kirby (Cassie) Johnston of West Sunbury and Robert (Kathy) Brown of West Sunbury; his granddaughter, Charlize Johnston; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Johnston, and his brother, Ronnie Johnston.
Johnston — The friends of Danny Johnston, who passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at theH. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
