Donny Giese

Donny Giese, 60, of Cabot, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Cabot.

Born on Feb. 2, 1955, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward Giese and Cora Mae Nixdorff Giese.

Donny worked at multiple workshops in both Allegheny and Butler Counties, most recently being the PARC Workshop in Butler. Donny took pride in going to work, making friends and collecting a paycheck for his favorite things, Pepsi and ice cream.

Donny was easily the life of any party. He loved singing “karaoke style,” dancing and watching WPXI news. Donny treasured spending time with his family, traveling and going to camp. Donny especially enjoyed attending his church. He was always sure to have a smile on his face and a hug to share with anyone. Donny will truly be missed, but leaves everybody with pleasant, happy memories.

Surviving are his three brothers, Edward Giese of Pittsburgh, Theodore Giese of Pittsburgh and Charles (Lisa) Giese of Cabot, and his three sisters, Melva Day of Ohio, Marie Cain of Florida and Roberta Wilson of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gladys Luffy-Giese; his two sisters, Charlotte and Lillian; and his brother, Elmer Giese.

Giese — Burial will be private for Donny Giese, who passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015.A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. March 22 at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Main St., Saxonburg, with Carmen Shullo officiating.
