GROVE CITY — Mars graduate Christian Locher and Slippery Rock High graduate Brian Giesler, both seniors on the Grove City College men’s golf team, finished first and second, respectively, at the seven-team GCC Invitational Wednesday at Grove City Country Club.

Locher shot a 3-under-par 69 to capture medalist honors for the fifth consecutive home invitational. Giesler carded a 1-under-par 71.

Grove City edged rival Thiel by three strokes, 294-297, to win the team title.
