Rally planned at SRU to support Gov. Wolf's proposal
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University chapter of the Association of Pennsylvania College and University Faculties will be hosting a rally on Thursday calling for full restoration of state funding over two years and for Gov. Tom Wolf’s proposed $45.5 million educational funding increase this year.
The rally will be held from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. at the gazebo on the quad on SRU’s campus.
Speakers will include state Rep. Jaret Gibbons, D-10th, and Erin Molchany, director of the governor’s Southwest Regional Office.
