Robert L. McLaughlin
Robert L. McLaughlin, 60, of Prospect passed away Monday at his home.
Born on Aug. 19, 1954, in Butler, he was a son of Hazel Aldean Roll McLaughlin of Butler and the late Robert J. McLaughlin.
He was employed by VA Butler Healthcare, where he worked in the Maintenance Department. He retired in 2005 following 31 years service.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. He was also a member of the KBBC Bass Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed hunting season with Donnie, R.J., Kane, Eithan and Jimmy.
Surviving are his wife, Rosanne Skrak McLaughlin, who he married on May 31, 1977; his daughter, Alicia D. McLaughlin of Slippery Rock; his son, Robert J. McLaughlin of Prospect; his grandson, Kane A. Zurawka; his mother, Hazel Hilliard of Butler; his mother-in-law, Lucille M. Skrak of Prospect; his sister, Deborah A. Stivason of Prospect; his brother, Donald E. (Pamela) McLaughlin of Butler; his sister, Terri M. Hay of Butler; his niece and nephews, James (Lisa) Fritch of Slippery Rock and Jennifer and Mark Smith, both of Butler; his great-nephew, Eithan Beckwith of Prospect; and his great-niece, Ashlynn McCloskey of Butler.
In addition to his father, Robert J. McLaughlin, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Merle Hilliard; his father-in-law, Robert Skrak; his brother, Thomas McLaughlin; his niece, Carla Aiken; his great-nephew, Logan Beckwith; and his great-niece, Hailey Weiland.
