Geoffrey Todd Smith
Geoffrey Todd Smith, 60, of Germantown, Md., formerly of Butler, passed away Monday after a short illness.
He was born on June 25, 1954, in Butler, the son of Pat Forcht (Smith) of Butler and the late Norman F. Smith.
Geoffrey was a graduate of the Optical Institute of Pittsburgh and had a 30-year career as an optician, most recently for Costco in Gaithersburg, Md.
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Cynthia Smith of Germantown, Md.; his four brothers, Pat Smith and his wife, Phyllis, of Apex, N.C., Tom Smith and his wife, Kathy, of Butler, Brad Smith and his wife, Susan, of Brunswick, Ga., and Bob Smith and his wife, Merle, of Germantown, Md.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Smith.
Smith— Burial services for Geoffrey Todd Smith, who passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, will be private.The family requests that any donations be given to the American Cancer Society.
