Dorothy Esther Lassinger
Dorothy Esther Lassinger, 93, of Catawba, N.C., formerly of Saxonburg, passed away Sunday at Catawba Valley Living at Rock Barn in Claremont, N.C.
Born on Dec. 16, 1921, in Apollo, she was the daughter of the late John Roberts and Esther Cunningham Roberts.
Dorothy had worked as a technician for Du-Co Ceramics.
She was a member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, where she was a member of the choir and also a charter member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her two daughters, Colleen E. (David) Samson of Catawba, N.C., and Carol J. (Gerald) Neubert of Saxonburg; her stepchildren, J.R. (LuAnn) Lassinger of Sugar Grove, Leann (Alan) Flint of Michigan and Kathy (Bud) Snyder of Henrietta, N.Y.; her brother, Ira (Kathy) Hindman Jr. of Stoney Fork; her sister, Susan Nance of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Graff; her second husband, John Lassinger; her stepson, Larry Lassinger; and several brothers and sisters.
Lassinger — The friends of Dorothy Esther Lassinger, who passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, will be received from 1 p.m. to the time of services at 4 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with the Rev. Donald Graff and the Rev. Ira Hindman Jr. officiating.
