Albert 'Abby' McVey Knoll
Albert “Abby” McVey Knoll, 67, of Ravenna, Ohio, formerly of Chicora, entered into eternal rest Thursday at his home.
Albert was born on Nov. 17, 1947, in Kittanning, the son of the late Joseph McVey and Grace Marie McMillen Knoll. He lived in Ravenna since 1987.
Abby was a self-employed contractor for more than 30 years.
He was a member of the American Legion 331 and enjoyed woodworking.
Loving memories of Abby will be carried on by his companion and significant other, Carolyn Dale, with whom he lived; his daughters, Lisa (Brad Karenbauer) Schnur of Chicora, Terri Knoll of Windham, Ohio, and Deana Corpe of Ravenna, Ohio; his sons, Joseph (Xiu) Knoll of Toney, Ala., Jeffrey (Jennifer Ferris) Knoll of Chicora and Brent (Dawn Marie Pepperd) Knoll of Ravenna, Ohio; his sisters, Karen Knoll of Charlestown, Ohio, Janet (Bob) Proudfoot of Streetsboro, Ohio, Glenna (John) Williams of Chicora, Gladys Jones of Chicora and Rosa McCloskey of Butler; his brothers, Howard Knoll of Lower Burrell and Jon (Patti) Knoll of Chicora; his eight grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren. Abby is also survived by his loyal canine companion, Jax.
In addition to his parents, Abby was preceded in death by one grandson; his sister-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
