Betty J. 'Betsy' Kerry
Betty J. “Betsy” Kerry, 75, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1940, in Butler to the late Frank Morabit and Katie Morabit.
Betty worked as a pharmacy clerk and also in the Billing Department at Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2000 with 32 years of service.
She was a member of the South Butler Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary. Betty absolutely loved Betty Boop, having quite the collection. She also enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates, playing bingo, going to the casino and the beach, cooking for the family, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her son, Donald Kerry of Butler; her daughter, Donna Fend and her husband, Gary, of Evans City; her five grandchildren, Gary Fend Jr., Josh Fend and his wife, Jessica, Jill Graham, Whitney Kerry, and Maggie Kerry; her five great-grandchildren, Cody Fend, Ava Kerry, Shay Graham, McKenna Graham, and Brady Graham; her three brothers, James Morabit of Sylmar, Calif., Dominic Morabit of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Frank Morabito Jr. and his wife, Rachel, of Bakersfield, Calif.; her two sisters, Mary McAnallen and her husband, Ralph, of Salmon, Idaho, and Marsha Clark and her husband, Buzz, of Hamilton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Beemzy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Morabito; her sister, Nancy Collins; her two sisters-in-law, Julie Morabito and Peg Morabit, and a brother-in-law, Tom Collins.
