John R. Hart
John R. Hart, 87, of Zelienople passed away Wednesday at Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus in Zelienople.
Born Dec. 14, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Peter and Nellie (Downey) Hart.
Mr. Hart proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Gregory Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the Harmony Moose 957 and the PA Snowseekers.
The Hart family would like to extend a special thank you to Dan, Cherie and the staff at Creek Meadows for all of their love and care.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 63 years, Freda (Druschel) Hart, who he married Oct. 20, 1951; five children, Karen (Edmund) Murray of Zelienople, John (Julie) Hart of Daytona Beach, Fla., James Hart (Lori) of Zelienople, Mary Kay Hart of Zelienople and Daniel (Erin) Hart of Cranberry Township; nine grandchildren, Ben (Amber) Murray, Steve Murray, Ashley (Phil) Waller, Alan Turner, Nick Turner, Jake Hart, Jordyn Hart, Kaelin Hart and Kelsey Hart; four step-grandchildren, Brandon White, Nichol Mignanelli, April Harvey and Danielle Ligouri; and three great-grandchildren, Kendall Waller, Ryder Waller and McKenzie Murray.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his grandsons, Ethan and Casey Hart; his sister, Virginia Kelley; and two half-brothers, Paul Johnson and William Johnson.
HART — The family of John R. Hart, who died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, will welcome friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver Street, Zelienople, with Father Lawrence R. Smith, celebrant.
