Helen L. Ferguson, 83, of Grove City, formerly of Ridgeville, passed away at 1:39 a.m. Tuesday at Orchard Manor.

Helen was born on June 15, 1931, in Six Points, Butler County. She was the daughter of the late Fred Alton Hillard and Sarah D. Bell Hillard.

She was a claims examiner for the Civil Service (OPM) in Boyers for 20 years.

She attended the Ridgeville United Methodist Church and the Grove City Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Rev. Donald (Kim) Bishop of Tampa, Fla.; her son, Fred C. Ferguson of Butler; her three grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild, and her sister, Mrs. Thomas (Deborah) Sweeney of Harrisville.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Burton “Chub” Ferguson, who died on Feb. 9, 2015, and her three brothers.
