Bigfoot, poetry set for librarySAXONBURG — The Center for Cryptozoological Studies will share tales of bigfoot, gargoyles and other cryptids in the Butler area from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St.The program is open to all ages and will include information about local sightings of these creatures.The library will host a poetry reading, “The Singing Bridge,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 26.Award-winning local poets Angele Ellis and Robert Walicki will read from their published works with special attention to bridge building and John Roebling.Both events are free. Preschool registration openBUTLER TWP — Registration is under way for fall 2015 at Super Sprouts Preschool at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road.Applications are for 3-year-olds and 4- and 5-year-olds.The preschool will host a monthlong open house at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday to Friday during April.
