BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center April 9 will host the next in a series of citizen science investigations for home-schooling families.

Two program sessions will be offered, one from 9 a.m. to noon and the other from 1 to 4 p.m. Designed for students age 5 and older, the program will demonstrate how people can contribute to scientific research by observing and reporting the northward movements of animals, such as monarch butterflies, hummingbirds and other birds.

Families will learn together about why scientists study animal migration and other seasonal events, and participants will practice using modern technology as a tool for collecting and sharing data.

Advanced registration and payment are required no later than April 6.

Register for either the morning or afternoon session by calling the center at 724-794-6011.
