Thelma R. Roxberry
Thelma R. Roxberry, 91, of Parsonville passed away at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Parker Personal Care.
Thelma was born on Feb. 10, 1924, in Shippenville, Clarion County. She was the daughter of the late Charles W. Confer and Bertha B. Hartman Confer.
She attended the North Washington Presbyterian Church.
Thelma and her husband operated a grocery store on Route 38 for a number of years.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Delberta “Deb” Grossman of Petrolia; her three sons, Charles K. (Deborah) Roxberry of Hilliards, Alan D. Roxberry of Parker and Jeffrey (Wendy) Roxberry of Petrolia; her 17 grandchildren; her 10 great-grandchildren, and her great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her two sisters, Sally Michael of Illinois and Dolores Krepps of Uniontown; her two brothers, Walter “Butch” Confer of Parker and Richard Vose of Butler, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence S. Roxberry; who died on Feb. 17, 1990; one son; two daughters; two grandsons; three brothers, and two sisters.
Roxberry— The friends of Thelma R. Roxberry, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, will be received from 4 p.m. to the time of services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, with the Rev. Robert V. Mathias, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating.
