Patricia L. 'Patty' Henery
Patricia L. “Patty” Henery, 74, of Kerr Avenue, Emlenton, passed away Saturday evening at her daughter's home.
Patricia was born on March 14, 1940, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County. She was the daughter of Reldon and Lois Jacobs Hassler.
She was a 1958 graduate of Emlenton High School.
Patty attended the Emlenton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, visiting with friends, collecting angels, and shopping on QVC.
In her earlier years, she was employed as a waitress at Cooper's Hot Dog Shop in Emlenton. She later worked at the cafeteria at Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School.
On July 18, 1964, she married Kay S. Henery at the Scrubgrass Stone Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2000.
Surviving are her two children, Douglas K. Henery of Polk and Marcy L. Henery of Emlenton; her two granddaughters, Jessica and Sami; her grandson, Tyler Henery, and her “adopted” grandson, Rickey Fauzey, who Patty affectionately referred to as “that boy.” She is also survived by her sister, Melissa “Missy” Sellers and her husband, Richard “Dick,” of Eau Claire, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Kirk S. Henery, and her sister, Dorothy Ritts.
Henery — Private visitation and a funeral service for Patricia L. “Patty” Henery, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, will be Tuesday at theHile Funeral Home, Emlenton, officiated by the Rev.
