Norman W. Bauman
Norman W. Bauman, 89, of Cabot passed away Saturday at his home.
Born on Feb. 18, 1925, in Clinton Township, Butler County, he was the son of the late Frank Edward Bauman and Bertha McLaughlin Bauman.
Norm served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a retired school bus and truck driver.
His family church was the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Sarver.
He was a member of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and an avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving are his children, Linda (Larry) McDonald of Saxonburg, Gary (Brenda) Bauman of Cabot and Marlene (John) Smith of Charlotte, N.C.; his six grandchildren, Kathleen Mack, Brett McDonald, Jessica Bauman, Christina Coddington, Heather Schnur, and Stewart Smith; his five great-grandchildren; his two great-great grandchildren, and his many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve C. Bauman; his longtime companion, Joan Madey; his three brothers, Kenneth, Chester and Earl Bauman; his two sisters, Mabel Miller and Grace Bauman, and his infant son, William Russell Bauman.His family has a special thank you to Walt Moser for his friendship and care in the past seven years.
