Elizabeth Dodson Coffman Hudock

Elizabeth Hudock

Elizabeth Dodson Coffman Hudock, 77, of Renfrew passed away at 3:46 p.m. Saturday at her home.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1937, in Pittsburgh, to the late Wilbur Lee Coffman and Helen Kathryn Dodson Coffman.

Mrs. Hudock was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker and friend. She had a smile that could light up a room.

She graduated from the Indiana State Teachers College with a bachelor of science degree in education. She also took master's-level courses at Westminster College.

Mrs. Hudock had a career as a home economics teacher in the Butler School District, where she retired in June 2004. Many former students remember her love and how much she cared for them.

She was a member of the Butler First United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the handbell choir and various Bible studies. She was also a member of the Corners Meet Quilters Guild. Mrs. Hudock also enjoyed birdwatching, reading, gardening, collecting folk art, visiting Phipps Conservatory and the Aviary, and snuggling with her cherished cats.

Mrs. Hudock is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul Hudock; her three sons, the Rev. Richard Paul Hudock of Arlington, Va., Daniel John Hudock of Pittsburgh and Kenneth Lee (Amy) Hudock of Church Hill, Md.; her daughter, Amy Murphy (Walter Gregory) Krasinsky of Glenshaw; her 16 grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; her two nieces, and her nephew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Carol Sue Hudock, and her brother, John Dodson Coffman of Indiana.

Hudock — The family of Elizabeth Dodson Coffman Hudock, who died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, will greet friends from 9 a.m. to the time of services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Eric Park of the First United Methodist and Elizabeth's son, the Rev. Richard Paul Hudock, officiating. Private burial will take place in the Marion Center Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, or to the Butler First United Methodist Church.Arrangements are by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Butler.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
