LEWISBURG — Seneca Valley's Spencer Tretter placed 11th in the 500-yard freestyle Saturday at the PIAA Class AAA swimming championships at Bucknell University.

He swam the event in four minutes, 36.37 seconds.

The Raiders' Mike Palaski finished 15th in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.21 seconds.

STATE COLLEGE — Three Portersville Christian School students have qualified for the national NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) archery tournament by placing at the Pennsylvania meet Friday at Penn State University.Marissa Slupe of Butler placed seventh among middle school girls. Mark Haller of Butler placed second among elementary boys. Seth Van Gent of New Wilmington placed sixth among high school boys.There were more than 850 participants in the state meet. The national tournament is May 7-9 in Louisville, Ky.
