County hires new warden to run prison

The Butler County Prison Board this morning hired Joe DeMore to be the new warden.
DeMore, a Slippery Rock University graduate, is a deputy warden at the Allegheny County Jail.
He will temporarily work with current Warden Rick Shaffer, who is retiring in July.
DeMore, who was one of four finalists for the post, will be paid $93,000 annually.
