BUTLER TWP — Police are searching for a man suspected of an armed robbery at Walgreens on New Castle Road.

Police said the unidentified man entered the store about 6:23 p.m. Thursday night and revealed a handgun in his waistband to employees.

He took an undisclosed amount of merchandise and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Employees described the man to police as a white male — possibly in his teens — with blue eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a mask and a blue bandanna, according to a police report.

Township police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man. Anyone with information is asked to call 724-285-9600.
