Mae Irene Blowers, 85, of Butler passed away Saturday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

She was born on May 7, 1929, in Sharpsburg, the daughter of the late Carl Alton Thompson and Helen Grace Uffelman Thompson.

Mae was a member of the Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church, Lyndora American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Keystone Music Association.

She was a buyer for Troutman’s Department Store for 29 years and worked in Bon Ton’s credit office for 10 years.

She enjoyed traveling in her motor home.

Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda Lee Graham of Butler and Cathy Holby of Butler; her two grandchildren, Kimberly Gregg and Michael (April) Dickey Jr.; her two sisters, Nancy (George) Ferrari of Butler and Ginny Dexter of West Sunbury, and her great-grandchild, Kyle Norling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Holby; her second husband, Raymond E. Blowers, who died on July 12, 1994; her sister, and her two brothers.

Blowers— The friends of Mae Irene Blowers, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., Butler, with her pastor, Tara Lynn, officiating.
