Theodore J. Simoff
Theodore J. Simoff, 69, of American School Road, Harmony, passed away Saturday at St. John Specialty Care in Mars following a two-month illness.
Born on Feb. 16, 1945, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Boris T. and Mary Cini Simoff.
Ted proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and a 1972 graduate of Slippery Rock University.
He retired as a computer science and social studies teacher from Lawrence County Area Vocational School, and later worked as a computer consultant.
Ted was an avid golfer and member of the IMBS Golf League in Koppel. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed traveling, but above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family.
Ted is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Ellen Brown Simoff, who he married on Dec. 26, 1972; his two children, Laura Hofmann and her husband, Ivan, of Cranberry Township and Gregory Simoff of Pittsburgh; his two granddaughters, Grace and Emily Hofmann; his two sisters, Joyce Bender and her husband, John, of East Palestine, Ohio, and Patricia Connolly of Whitman, Mass.; his brother, Michael Simoff of Zelienople; and his many nieces and nephews.
Simoff — The Simoff family will receive friends of Theodore J. Simoff, who passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev.
