Helen C. Baron

Helen Baron

Helen C. Baron, 92, of Butler passed away Friday and the world lost another wonderful person.

Born on Dec. 18, 1922, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Veronica Chvlink Danik.

She was the wife of Anthony F. Baron, who passed away on April 13, 2013.

She was a loving and gentle wife and mother. She taught her children to love and respect others. She was a generous and a bright woman with common sense beyond belief. She found joy in simple things.

A hard-working woman from an early age, she worked cleaning homes and later worked at Allegheny Ludlum. Following her marriage, she worked hard on the family farm along with her husband while raising her family.

She loved and took pride in her many flower gardens as well as her vegetable garden, which led her to do a lot of canning and freezing of produce. She was a courageous woman who would not let adversity get her down. She put her family’s needs and best interests before her own.

She is now and will always be deeply missed.

Surviving are her five children, Teresa (Robert) Docherty of Pittsburgh, Anthony David (Theresa) Baron of Butler, Cecelia (Stanley) Dodds of Butler, Charles Baron of Cypress, Texas, and Thomas (Cindy) Baron of Sarver; her six grandchildren, Angela, Kathleen, Allison, Grant, Caitlin and Corey; and her three great-grandchildren, Mackenna, Anya and Aidan.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her five brothers and her five sisters.
