Geoffrey Lee “Jeff” McCall, 76, of Buffalo Township, Sarver, died Thursday in Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following surgery.

He was born in Arnold on July 3, 1938, to the late Donald S. and Gertrude B. Camp McCall. He had been a life resident of the local area.

Jeff had been a self-employed tractor-trailer driver until he joined the Port Authority of Pittsburgh as a bus driver, retiring after 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of Sarver, the Ken High Class of 1958 and a life member of the Hunters and Fisherman Club in Valley Camp.

He enjoyed time at his camp in Tionesta, hunting, fishing, camping, boating on the Allegheny River, baking and cooking at camp, dining out, but especially time with his grandchildren and family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen E. Van Tine McCall; his daughter, Lori Jean Saska of Aliquippa; his son, Brian Lee (Belinda “Hope”) McCall of Sarver; his grandchildren, Mathew and Jessica Saska, Kristy (Stefan) Sassic, and Brennen and Maura McCall; and his great-granddaughter, Adelina Sassic.

MCCALL — Friends of Geoffrey Lee “Jeff” McCall, who died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, will be received Sunday from 1 p.m. until a celebration of his life at 4 p.m. by his pastor, the Rev. Robert H. Wilson of the Zion United Methodist Church, in the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 (800-822-6344).
