Betty Jean Elder Fulk
Betty Jean Elder Fulk, 89, of Newhaven Court passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1925, in Clarion County, to the late Walter George Elder and Bernice Irene Altman Elder.
She married Boyd W. Fulk on Oct. 26, 1946, in Kane.
Betty loved hunting, fishing, traveling, going to the family camp, golfing and other sports. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.
Betty was a member of the St. Peter’s Anglican Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 636 of St. Petersburg, the OES 45 of Parker and the NRA. She was a volunteer for Butler Meals on Wheels for many years and a longtime member of the Lake Arthur Casual Golf League.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter George Elder, and her mother, Bernice Irene Altman Elder, both originally from Clarion County, but then longtime residents of Kane; her husband, Boyd William Fulk, and her son-in-law, Roy Steinheiser, both of Butler; and her grandson, Donald Steinheiser of Naples, Fla.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Roy) Steinheiser of Butler and Susan (Jerry) Siok of Anchorage, Alaska; her seven grandchildren, Aaron (Lori) Steinheiser of Butler, Ben Siok of Anchorage, Alaska, Chris (Sherlynn) of Anchorage, Alaska, Larry (Donna) Steinheiser of Butler, Terry (Kathy) Steinheiser of Butler, Sharon Steinheiser of Glen Burnie, Md., and Sandy (Donald) of Naples, Fla.; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her four great-great-grandchildren.
Fulk — The friends of Betty Jean Elder Fulk, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
