AAU tryout

The Metro USA AAU basketball team will hold tryouts for girls in the ninth and 10th grades at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Butler Cubs Hall.

The team will be coached by Karns City girls assistant basketball coach Mike Hegedus.

Parents will receive information about Metro USA at the tryout.

Volleyball postponed

BUTLER TWP — The sixth-grade volleyball tournament scheduled in the Butler High School gym Thursday night was postponed.

The event has been rescheduled for 5:15 p.m. Monday in the high school gym.

Golf outing

JEFFERSON TWP — The Knoch girls basketball team will hold a golf outing as a fund raiser May 30 at Hiland Golf Course.

Shot gun start is at 8 a.m. and cost is $75 per person. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, prizes and a steak dinner.
