Pickup, semi collide this morning on Rt. 228
MIDDLESEX TWP — A pickup truck eastbound on Glade Mill Road at 7 a.m. today slid into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer.
Middlesex patrolman Conrad Pfeifer said there were no injuries in the accident, which occurred in front of the Ferree Marcellus shale gas well.
Pfeifer said police arrived on scene about 7 a.m. and had the accident cleaned up and traffic on Glade Mill Road, also known as Route 228 east, at about 8 a.m.
He said both vehicles were towed since neither were drivable. Pfeifer said the road was slippery in the area of the crash.
Police issued no citations.
Another brief traffic problem occurred during the morning rush hour when a tractor trailer’s hydraulic line broke on Route 228 west.
