John E. 'Jack' Howard
John E. “Jack” Howard, 81, of Harmony passed away Thursday at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Ingram, he was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Walker Howard.
Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a longtime member of the Park Presbyterian Church in Zelienople where he served as an elder and adult Sunday school teacher.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 27 years, Helen Katherine Ifft Howard, who he married on Jan. 23, 1988; his three children, Douglas (Susan) Moe of Philadelphia, Michael (Tammy) Murphy of Pittsburgh and Sandra (Joe) Krainer of Crofton, Md.; his son-in-law, Robert Trohaugh of Pittsburgh; and his nine grandchildren, John, Matthew and Jeffrey Moe, Sarah and Jessica Trohaugh, Richard Stacy, Jared Campbell Murphy, Taralyn Murphy and Aubrey Krainer.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Trohaugh; his sister, Geri Emerson; and his two brothers, Walter Howard and James Howard.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Paul Merrill officiating.
