Frederick 'Fred' W. Heinz Sr.
Frederick “Fred” W. Heinz Sr., 89, of Butler passed away Tuesday at his home.
He was born on Jan. 30, 1925, in Center Township, the son of the late Joseph and Pearl Szwec Heinz.
Fred was a member of and usher at the St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church.
He ran his family farm all of his life along with his son. He enjoyed hunting and, most of all, farming.
Surviving are his three daughters, Deborah Williams of Harmony, Joyce Richards of Butler and Darlene Heinz of Butler; his son, Fred W. Heinz Jr. of Butler; his grandchildren, James Williams of Butler and Katie Richards of Mars; and his sister, Matilda Millich of Upper St. Clair.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Spohn Heinz, who died on Dec. 31, 2004; his four sisters, Mary Ross, Frances Confer, Nellie Pollack and Pauline Sperring; and his brother, Frank Heinz.

Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, with the Father Nicholas Argenteri officiating.
