Robert Russell Gandy
Robert Russell Gandy, 73, of West Deer Township passed away Monday.
Born on Oct. 11, 1941, in Butler, he was the son of the late Robert and Roberta Corbin Gandy.
He was a supervisor for the Duquesne Light Co.
Bob was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonia. He was a member of the Duquesne Light Golf League at Suncrest Golf Course and the Thursday Night Mixed Master Bowling League at Deer Lakes Bowl. Later, he played with the Good Luck League.
Bob shared his love of sports by coaching girls’ softball and basketball for Center Township.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley Ostwinch Gandy; his two daughters, Robin Gandy Snyder of West Deer Township and Teresa Gandy (Bill) Crossland of Murrysville; his four grandchildren, Rebecca Snyder of McCandless Township, Rachel Snyder (Blake) Crawford of Butler, and Zachary Crossland and Eric Crossland, both of Murrysville; his three great-grandchildren, Mason Snyder of McCandless Township, and Bentley Crawford and Lincoln Crawford, both of Butler, and his many nieces and nephews.
Gandy — A memorial service for Robert Russell Gandy, who passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3832 Gibsonia Road, Gibsonia, with the Rev. Anthony Schneck, officiating.
